4th Annual Kimberly Pearson Memorial Beach Clean-Up

Fort Pierce Central High School students along with students and employees from throughout the district met on another postcard-perfect morning at Pepper Park on Saturday, February 25th. This morning was going to be more than a beautiful beach day, it was the 4th Annual Kimberly Pearson Memorial Beach Clean-Up. Ms. Pearson was a Marine Science teacher at FPC who loved students, loved the ocean, and loved learning. Her life-long love of inspiring others continues as her legacy shines brightly.

Over 70 students, teachers, and parents met and combed the beach, park, pavilion, and sand dune areas, picking up trash, and leading by example as caretakers of our community and our ocean shores. Over 70 bags of trash, lumber, and miscellaneous items were cleared from the area, restoring the beach front park to its postcard destination status.

A special thank you to the National Honor Society members and Mr. Peter Miserocchi, NHS sponsor, for co-hosting the event along with the Gardening Club. Thank you to National Key Club members and Mrs. Denise Peschio, Key Club sponsor. Thank you to Panera for the snack donations. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. Ayesha Boria, club affiliates, parents, and all the volunteers that made the memorial event a true honor worthy of Ms. Pearson’s legacy.
