A New Look

The Port St. Lucie High School (PSLHS) Jaguar Cafeteria is undergoing a facelift.  The school’s mascot is boosting school spirit around campus and what better place to make an impact than in the cafeteria! Beeping Eggs

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Team partnered with Westside Church and St. Lucie Public Schools to again offer a “beeping” Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday, March 29.  The event took place at Westside Church. The Beeping Easter Egg Hunt was specifically offered for students with a visual impairment and featured special eggs that beep to help locate them.  After the hunt, participants were given special goodie bags of treats to enjoy when they returned home.  The project was made possible through equipment and funds provided by the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators (IABTI). Northport Celebrates Women With Speakers Bureau

What a marvelous and celebratory morning in the Northport Media Center recently. Students from the 6th and 7th grade Northstar team were privileged to take part in an engaging program honoring the contributions of top-notch women from across so many arenas and avenues of life. Girls from the classes kicked off the program with a Maya Angelou poem and then used the alphabet to lionize many powerful and courageous women from all walks of life and in all areas of history and the present.
