The 7th Annual K. Pearson Ocean Clean-Up

On Saturday, March 14, students and community members gathered at Jaycee Park in Fort Pierce for the 7th Annual Kimberly Pearson Beach Clean‑Up, continuing a meaningful tradition of environmental stewardship and service.

This year’s event was especially impactful as it partnered with the Great American Clean‑Up in Fort Pierce, connecting local efforts to a larger nationwide initiative focused on keeping communities clean and beautiful. The collaboration helped amplify the purpose of the day while reinforcing the importance of collective responsibility for the environment.

Students from Fort Pierce Central High School’s National Honor Society (NHS) and Key Club proudly participated in the clean‑up, volunteering their time and energy to care for the local shoreline. Their involvement reflected a strong commitment to service, leadership, and community pride—values central to both organizations. Thank you to students for volunteering during their first day of Spring Break! What dedication and pride were exhibited!

Uplifting Ms. Pearson, our beloved Marine Biology teacher’s legacy of lifelong learning, ocean conservation, and community service are what makes this annual event a meaningful reminder of how student leadership and community partnerships can make a lasting difference. As the event enters its seventh year, it remains a powerful example of service in action and a tribute to the impact that dedicated volunteers can have on their local environment. Thank you to the Stuart Panera for donating “End of Day Dough-nations,” Scott Pearson, Susie Pearson, and the Kimberly Pearson Memorial Foundation at FPC.
