While studying the 13 colonies in American History class, Ms. Secrest took her eighth graders to utilize the Z-space lab. The students used the 3D technology to read maps, dissect the colonies into regions, and analyze the climate and geography, in order to predict the economic focus of the region. All of the students really enjoyed the activity, but more importantly, they were able to understand the concepts more deeply and make better predictions about each region.
