SLW Centennial Art Honors Mental Health

In a powerful tribute to Mental Health Awareness Month, SLW Centennial art students created a striking display of ceramic figures that reflect the complexities of mental health. Each student crafted a unique sculpture representing their interpretation of a person living with a mental health condition, including bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance use disorder, and more.

The exhibit was more than just an artistic showcase—it served as an educational experience. Alongside the ceramic figures, students included informative displays with tips for maintaining mental well-being, signs and symptoms to watch for, and guidance on what to do if someone is struggling. This project encouraged students to explore mental health through a creative lens, fostering empathy, awareness, and open dialogue.
