LPA Key Club First Meeting of the School Year

September 4th, the LPA Key Club had its first meeting with over 90 members in attendance. Key Club community sponsors as well as partners were also in attendance. New members were able to learn more about the mission as well as learn about future volunteering opportunities. The next meeting is October 4th. It was an amazing way to start the year!      

LPA Key Club Enjoys the Fort Pierce Parade

The Lincoln Park Academy Key Club participated for the first time in the City of Fort Pierce “A Cattleman’s Christmas Parade.” The Sunrise Kiwanis Club sponsored and provided a small trailer along with a 1949 vintage tractor.  The members worked very hard to build a float. Forty-two students walked behind the float and represented the newly reinstated club and our Greyhound pride.          

LPA Key Club Collaborates With FKS To Enhance Their Garden

On a sunny Friday afternoon, Key Club members Gabriele, Carol, Guerlynard, Justin, Jenessa, and Jeno came together to lend their hands in the garden at F.K. Sweet Elementary. Their dedication and teamwork not only beautified the space but also showed the spirit of community service that the Key Club embodies. Twelve Key Club members (Rowan Crandall, Roselyn Crandall, Sydney Daniel, Gabriel Guarnizo, Damon Harris, Jeremiah Henderson, Malachi Henderson, Gilberto Mendez, Isabela Mohindroo, Jayden Nargen, Nachbi Pierre, and Jaeda Wolfgram) attended the first activity at the Community Garden today. The students were taught how to flip the soil, even it up, and place and secure the irrigation hoses. The soil was left ready to rest for 6 weeks. The Lincoln Park Academy Key Club Kick-Off Conference held on September 28, 2005, was a tremendous success! Members had the opportunity to connect with fellow Key Club members from Palm Beach, as well as the lieutenant governors of our zone. During the conference, they discussed important details about fundraising, membership growth, large-scale service projects, and upcoming statewide events. Attendees also explored ways to partner with international organizations like UNICEF and Erika’s Lighthouse to expand our impact. LPA Key Club at the All Villages

LPA Key Club helped unload 1,500 pumpkins at All Villages Presbyterian Church in Port Saint Lucie on October 7th, 2023. Their pumpkins needed to be unloaded and set up as well as the hay that needed to be spread out all around the patch. With all the hard work of the members, 45 members and other volunteers, the pumpkin patch was a success! With all the teamwork, they were able to get it all done in around 3 hours. These pumpkins are now ready to be sold to the public for the fall season thanks to the LPA Key Club!

LPA Key Club 5K Raising Awareness

A big thanks to our wonderful members from the LPA Key Club ( Chloe, Angelyka, Daniella, Faraz, Lucas, and Jeno) who came out early this morning to help with  BooBays 5K Race (Breast Cancer Awareness) at Tradition Square. LPA Jazz Ensemble Earns Straight Superiors at MPA

Congratulations to the Lincoln Park Academy Jazz Ensemble for earning straight superiors at the District 10 Music Performance Assessment held at Sebastian River High School. They will be advancing to State MPA, which will be held at Horizon High School in Orlando on March 22nd. GO GREYHOUNDS!!

LPA Advances in Global Video Competition

The Lincoln Park Academy Adobe CAPE Academy team made it into the final round of judging for another global digital video competition! Kid Witness News (KWN) is a global video education program supported by Panasonic, with the aim of boosting creativity and communication skills and fostering teamwork through video production by children at the elementary and secondary school levels. LPA Impresses at Leadership Conference

Members of the LPA Health Occupations Students of America, or HOSA Club, attended the 2017 State Leadership Conference in Orlando between April 7th and April 9th.  The Club was represented by Kassandra Sanz (senior),  Adriana Sanz (sophomore), Diana Ion (senior), Catiana Romain (senior) , and Club Advisor Mr. Sadlocha.  While there, Kassandra Sanz was recognized as a bronze recipient of the Barbara James Service Award for community service and for placing 10th overall in the Healthcare Issues exam.  In addition, Adriana Sanz placed 2nd overall in the Courtesy Corps volunteer category and received recognition for her contributions to HOSA Happenings, … Read More

LPA IB Students Have Fun at IB Field Day

Lincoln Park Academy’s IB students had an afternoon of fun and competition at the first annual IB Field Day. Students competed in events against other grades. For a fundraiser, students were able to pie their teacher in the face, which allowed both students and teachers to let loose! And to cool down, students purchased ice cream from Cool Beanz ice cream truck, a Tradition-based coffee and ice cream shop. It was an excellent time to build community and have fun. 

LPA IB Students Building a Mesocosm

Lincoln Park Academy IB 3 students build a mesocosm which involves creating a controlled environment to study the interaction in ecosystems on a smaller scale. The mesocosm is an 8-week project that demonstrates the interaction of biotic and abiotic factors within a small ecosystem. Students must collect data on the organism’s growth, behavior, and interactions, as well as environmental parameters, then they analyze the collected data to draw conclusions about how the ecosystem functions in this controlled setting.      

LPA Hosts a Scrumptious IB Breakfast

On Monday, October 2, 9-12 IB students gathered for a continental breakfast. IB Student Committee Officers and teachers were introduced, Dr. Herrington spoke, upcoming programs and events were shared, and most importantly, students spent time meeting each other. The importance of the IB community was stressed; IB students need each other throughout their time in high school. Each graduating class can learn from those that preceded it. It was a great time of fellowship with one another.      

LPA Holds Incoming 9th Grade IB Breakfast

On May 16th , Lincoln Park Academy hosted its first incoming 9th grade IB Student Breakfast! Current 8th graders at LPA who are entering into the IB program in the 2023-2024 school year were invited to attend a welcome breakfast. Students spent time with upperclassman IB students having breakfast, talking about the IB program, and socializing with one another. LPA looks to the incoming new IB cohort, graduating class of 2027!  

LPA High School Students Win Dr. Samuel S. Gaines Essay Contest

For the second year in a row, LPA high school students won first, second, and third place in the district Dr. Samuel S. Gaines Essay Contest. Senior Milani Carpenter won first place; freshman Arianna John won second place; and sophomore Madison Coloso took third. Congratulations to these students, and a special thanks to their teachers: Mrs. Melissa Cassella and Ms. Brienne Slocum.              

LPA Greyhounds Journey to Educational Opportunities

Students at Lincoln Park Academy had an exciting day as they traveled to the Fenn Center to engage in the start of ongoing communication with college recruiters.  They were able to ask pertinent questions relative to their chosen careers and receive valuable feedback that will aid in final decision making.  The students, along with their dedicated counselors, report an overall success as they shared valuable experiences resulting from their visit.  The recruiters were very motivated while sharing campus factors that their universities promote for overall student success and degree completion.  This was certainly a valuable field trip that will leave memorable memories … Read More
