On Friday, February 28, 2026, students in Mrs. Baechle’s Career Planning and Career Exploration classes rolled up their sleeves for a deliciously interactive culinary lesson. With the guidance of beloved paraprofessional Ms. Rose Renda, students learned how to make their own pizzas completely from scratch. Students watched in awe as Ms. Renda flipped, twirled, and tossed the dough high into the air, stretching each pizza with the flair of a true pizzeria pro!

Ms. Renda — a former pizzeria owner with years of real‑world experience — demonstrated how to stretch dough, prepare fresh ingredients, and build a perfect pizza. Students then selected their own toppings and watched their creations bake, filling the classroom with the unmistakable smell of a busy kitchen.

This hands‑on activity gave students the chance to explore culinary career pathways while practicing practical life and workplace skills in a fun, supportive environment. To top off the experience, the class also baked a celebratory cake, turning the day into a full culinary celebration of teamwork, effort, and learning.

Many students are also members of Cobra Pals, a student organization that connects students in ESE with students in general education. Our Cobras are already buzzing with excitement for the upcoming Cobra Carnival, eager for another chance to jump into the heart of what makes Cobra Nation so special. The students couldn’t stop talking about how the hands‑on fun is just the beginning — with the Cobra Carnival on the horizon, they’re ready for even more experiences that bring our campus community together.

Moments like this remind our Cobra Pals why they love being part of Central, and they’re counting down the days until the Cobra Carnival adds another chapter to the traditions that make Cobra Nation great. From pizza‑tossing to carnival‑ready enthusiasm, our Cobra Pals are embracing every opportunity to be part of the energy, pride, and connection that define Cobra Nation.
