Fort Pierce Central High School proudly welcomed 51 outstanding students into the National Honor Society (NHS) during a memorable induction ceremony that celebrated scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

Kicking off the ceremony, guests enjoyed a reception featuring live music from a talented jazz trio and a vibrant spread of culinary delights. The Cobra Culinary Arts program provided over half a dozen food stations, showcasing student-crafted dishes that impressed attendees and added a festive flair to the evening.

A special thank you to NHS officers Sage Taylor and Juana Peniche Arias who organized the Induction Committee along with Sponsors Kelly Wiggett and Katie Avra, President Elizabeth Outten, Vice President Jocelyn Hatfield, Secretary Juliana Masutti, and Treasurer Adem Karagic.

The evening recognized students who exemplify the four pillars of NHS, joining a legacy of academic achievement and community engagement. Each inductee repeated the official NHS oath, affirming their commitment to uphold the organization’s values. As part of the tradition, students lit ceremonial candles representing each pillar and received their NHS pins, marking their formal entry into the society.

Parents, families, administrators, and volunteers filled the auditorium to celebrate the inductees, reflecting the strong support network that surrounds Fort Pierce Central’s academic community. Their presence underscored the collaborative spirit that helps students thrive. As new NHS members begin their journey of service and leadership, Fort Pierce Central remains committed to fostering excellence and empowering students to make a meaningful impact—both within the school and the community. NHS proudly partners with Fort Pierce Central’s Cobra Pals which fosters community and friendship between students with varying exceptionalities with students in general education, including unified sports teams, and the Special Olympics. As well, FPC NHS works with National Junior Honor Society of Forest Grove Middle School.
