Congratulations to the SLW Centennial NJROTC Academic Team! They competed in the BOCA Brain Brawl Academic Competition on Saturday, September 19th, 2026, against 16 other NJROTC teams.
Team Alpha consisted of c/LCDR Brandon Ramirez, c/CPO Eli Ross, c/SR Obadiah Mildor and c/SN Darryen Noel. The Bravo Team consisted of c/PO1 Andrew Witz-Schaffer, c/SCPO Brody Nestler, c/PO1 Zoey Fletcher, c/PO3 Kayleigh Huff, and c/SR Naima Marquez.
Both teams qualified for the finals and they came in 1st and 2nd Place!
Team Bravo came home with the 1st place trophy while Team Alpha finished right behind them and won the 2nd Place trophy.
Also, please congratulate c/PO1 Andrew Witz-Schaffer! He out answered 16 other cadets representing other teams and came in First Place in the “Brawl Stars” competition!
Great job representing SLW Centennial High School’s NJROTC Black Talon Company Unit in our 1st academic competition of the school year!
Both teams have officially qualified for the Brain Brawl Academic State Championships this year!
