Frances K. Sweet Elementary, in collaboration with the Department of Student Services & ESOL’s Parent Educators, recently hosted an engaging and interactive Math Quest & Data Fest Night, welcoming students and their families for an evening focused on building math skills, confidence, and connections. The event highlighted the importance of making math meaningful, hands-on, and fun—both at school and at home.
Kindergarten through second-grade families learned about the importance of counting and how it is the foundation for future math skills. Families played math games together to see how math can be easily incorporated at home. In addition to the activities, families received resources and take-home materials, including math games, practice ideas, and tips for supporting learning at home. These tools were designed to reinforce the message that math learning doesn’t stop when the school day ends. Thank you to the Education Foundation for sponsoring this amazing night of learning!
Third – fifth-grade families reviewed their data as they prepared for the end-of-year testing and set goals. Laughter, teamwork, and math conversations filled the rooms as families worked together.
We also want to say thank you to the Treasure Coast Food Bank for donating fresh produce for our families!
