From Kindergarten to 8th grade, our Rockets soar! In honor of Dr. Seuss and Read Across America Day, our 8th graders teamed up with our Kindergarteners for a morning of reading, laughter, and leadership. After sharing “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”, partners created hot-air balloons and wrote their future dreams on either side- one from a Kindergartener’s perspective and one from the middle school mentor. This meaningful buddy activity supports our district’s Classrooms2Careers initiative by helping students begin thinking about who they want to be in the future, and the paths they can take to get there. By the end, we couldn’t tell who had more fun-the big kids or the little ones!
