On February 27, 2026, the Jaguar Battalion conducted its annual flag retirement ceremony, a cornerstone tradition dedicated to the dignified disposal of unserviceable American flags. The process began with a coordinated collection effort from January 14th to January 28th, during which designated Cadets and their respective Company Commanders gathered flags from predetermined neighborhoods located near Port St. Lucie High School. Following congressional recommendations for respectful decommissioning, the collected flags were carefully separated into their original colors—red, white, and blue—before being committed to the fire. Each unit maintained a specific role in this solemn ceremony: Alpha Company retired the blue Unions, Bravo Company the red stripes, and Charlie Company the white stripes, with Delta Company providing integrated support across all the Companies. This disciplined collaboration not only adhered to federal protocols but also reinforced the Battalion’s professional dedication to honoring our national symbol with the highest degree of reverence.
