A huge shout-out and sincere thank you are in order for three of our incredible Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Student Support teachers who go above and beyond for our students!
While they tirelessly manage their demanding CTE classes and work to prepare students for critical industry certifications, Jasmine R. Shepherd, Nolan G. Shepherd, and Brittney A. Wegner have dedicated their time to providing extraordinary experiential learning opportunities.
They were recently found “galivanting” (their words!) around the nation’s capital with their DECA officers!
Why this matters:
-
Expanded Horizons: These trips give our students a chance to see the world beyond our campus and gain valuable exposure to national business, government, and history.
-
New Experiences: DECA is about preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs, and what better way to do that than by immersing them in a high-impact environment like Washington, D.C.?
-
Leadership Development: Providing officers with this opportunity helps them build confidence, practice networking, and gain a real-world perspective that complements their classroom learning.
Thank you, Mrs. Shepherd, Mr. Shepherd, and Ms. Wegner, for investing in our students’ futures and giving them this incredible opportunity to expand their horizons and gain new experiences! We are so proud of the work you do!
