On Wednesday, October 28th, Southern Oaks Middle School marked Red Ribbon Week with a spirited display of teamwork and community values. Students and staff participated by wearing jerseys to promote a drug-free lifestyle, emphasizing the importance of making informed choices regarding substance use.
Red Ribbon Week serves as an annual campaign dedicated to raising awareness about the risks associated with drug use while encouraging open discussions about making healthy decisions. 
By donning their favorite team jerseys, students and staff came together to show their commitment to supporting this important message. This event was part of a series of activities planned for spirit week, fostering school pride and community engagement.
