Fort Pierce Central High School proudly celebrated over 400 students this past Wednesday for their outstanding learning gains on the ELA PM1 assessment. These gains, measured against last year’s PM3 performance, mark a significant step forward in academic growth and set a strong foundation for future success.
In adaptive testing, PM1 plays a crucial role in shaping the difficulty of subsequent assessments. A strong PM1 score leads to a more personalized and manageable PM2, ultimately boosting performance on PM3. This year, Fort Pierce Central students showed a 2% increase in both learning gains and proficiency compared to the same time last year—an impressive testament to their hard work and the support of dedicated educators.

To honor this achievement, students were treated to a joyful celebration featuring upbeat music, ice cream sandwiches, and snow cones. The event was filled with gratitude and pride, reinforcing the importance of these milestones in each student’s academic journey.
