The Savannah College of Art & Design, or SCAD is one of the most prestigious and respected art schools in the nation. The art students at Fort Pierce Central High School participated in an interactive presentation with Juan Maurico, the Assistant Director of Admissions for SCAD, on Thursday, August 21st. Mrs. Avra hosted juniors and seniors who learned about the school’s majors, new programs, housing, scholarships, and SCAD’s 99% job-placement rate. Students interacted in small groups, designing new products for some of SCAD’s corporate partners, like Crocs Shoes. Students were excited about the opportunities to invest their unique aspirations in the growth areas of the creative and design fields.

Open houses hosted at SCAD campuses will be held Oct. 11 and Nov. 8 in Savannah as well as Sept. 27 and Nov. 1 in Atlanta.
Portfolio review days are Miami Oct. 4, Orlando Oct. 18, and West Palm Beach Nov. 6.
