St. Lucie West Centennial High School’s track team delivered an outstanding performance at the St. Lucie County Track Championship. The boys’ team emerged as SLC Champions, while the girls’ team secured the runner-up position. The track team showcased the depth of talent and dedication among the athletes.
The boys’ team had several first-place winners: Giovani Jean-Pierre dominated the sprints, winning the 100m and 400m events. Dominic Dimarco excelled in the 800m, while Adam Kirkwood took first place in the 3200m. Emmanuel Dorelus Jr. impressed in the Long Jump. The boys also excelled in relay events, with the 4×1 team (Marc Johns, Emmanuel Dorelus Jr., Sebastian Polynice, Giovani Jean-Pierre), the 4×4 team (Marc Johns, Melik Enoch, Dominic Dimarco, Giovani Jean-Pierre), and the 4×8 team (Dominic Dimarco, Noah Kaegi, Adam Kirkwood, Melik Enoch) all taking first place.
The girls’ team also had impressive first-place finishes in the 4×1 relay (Ashlee Sinclair, Jailyn Williams, Riyoko Hoskins, Angelina Schmook) and the 4×4 relay (Angelina Schmook, Jailyn Williams, Sydney Robinson, Riyoko Hoskins). Their strong performance earned them the Runner-up title, highlighting their teamwork and perseverance.
