District Superintendent Dr. Jon R. Prince and School Board Member Mr. Troy Ingersoll visited the Cobras during a recent practice to congratulate them on their academic and athletic achievements throughout this memorable season.
The Fort Pierce Central Boys’ Basketball Team won their first District Championship since 2011 by knocking off 3 straight higher ranked opponents on the road. By defeating rival Centennial 67-54 in the quarterfinals and Palm Beach Lakes by the score of 75-59 in the semifinals and Jupiter High School, 51-47 in the District Finals, the Cobras finally achieved their goal after losing the last two years in the finals. Cobra Nation is very proud of the relentless effort of the team in accomplishing their goals as well as the outstanding efforts of the coaching staff in utilizing basketball as a unique educational tool in developing our young men through integrity and intensity. Heartfelt congratulations to Coach Maxon, coaching staff, the entire Cobra Boys’ champion team, and their families.
