Today was the opening day of the Student Perks Coffee Cart and Fort Pierce Westwood Academy students in Ms. Cooper’s class got to be the first helpers! It is at the County Annex building on Virginia and 25th each Tuesday. Students from all the high schools rotate weeks to have the opportunity to learn skills for employment and customer service skills.
They sell coffee, bagels, pastries, fruit, and tea. The students plan and set up the cart, take money, engage with customers, and will soon start ordering and preparing for the next service date.
The folks at the County Annex were welcoming and kept saying “You’re back!” We are excited to have another rotation!
