Fairlawn Elementary hosted its annual Title One Curriculum Night for all stakeholders. Attendees learned about federal programs, school curriculum, and state testing. Thank you to all those who attended!

SRE – Attendance Matters!

Savanna Ridge Elementary administration, along with Deputy Spencer, thanked every family that arrived with their children on time, by handing out sweet treats to each family. We appreciate all of our families and are proud of our daily attendance rate of 94%.

Morningside Kicks-Off “Girls on the Run”

Morningside Elementary kicked off the first day of GIRLS ON THE RUN this week!The girls and Coach Black, Coach Matos, & Coach Panaccione had an amazing time of running, team-building, and making connections! Girls will also learn skills including self-motivation, self-awareness, and self-confidence. Girls will learn about empowerment and build rich connections with others. We are excited for an incredible GOTR season this year! Way to go Blue Jays!

Marine Corps Pull-Up Challenge at TCHS

During lunch, students at Treasure Coast High School participated in the pull-up challenge hosted by Staff Sergeant Brandon Raines, a United States Marine Corps Recruiter. The pull-up challenge is used to help gain exposure to the Marine Corps, specifically all the scholarship and job opportunities that are available to students. Titan Born, Titan Bred!

Palm Pointe first-graders enjoyed Assistant Principal Mrs. Newsome stopping by for a Read-Aloud with their class! It is always fun to have guest readers partner with our classrooms.  Mrs. Newsome is a welcomed Guest Reader and always brings a spirit of enthusiasm and a love for reading.

Forest Grove Middle School Teachers are Celebrating Excellence in Math

Forest Grove Middle School’s Math Department has begun a new initiative this year. Our math teachers are creating a culture of celebration while building a positive relationship with their students. Each week teachers are nominating students for portraying Excellence in math. These students persevere through challenging equations, never give up, maintain a positive attitude, and always try their best!  

SLW Centennial High School Student Participated in the University of Miami and Holy Cross Health Summer Surgical Scholars Program

St. Lucie West Centennial High School student Jazmine Villa participated in the University of Miami and Holy Cross Health Summer Surgical Scholars (S³) Program, a new immersive program for high school students interested in medicine and surgery, this summer.  Over the course of four days, participants shadowed general surgery residents and attending physicians in the operating room, clinic, and emergency room, attended academic lectures, and participated in additional hands-on experiences. “The S³ Program provides high school students a truly unique opportunity to develop early medical interests and gain insight into surgical specialties,” said Nathan Schoen, M.D., M.P.H., cofounder of S³ and chief surgery resident of University … Read More

Titans Varsity Football Team Named Zephyrhills Team of the Week

Congratulations to the Treasure Coast High School varsity football team on being named the Zephyrhills Team of the Week in Florida. On behalf of Zephyrhills, Mr. Lehman presented the Titans and Coach Jones with a custom commemorative football based on their performance against Tampa Jesuit. FPC Raiders Honoring & Serving in Our Community

Commemorating Heroes from 9/11 Saturday 9/9/2023, Patriots from across the Treasure Coast gathered to commemorate 9/11, first responders, and America’s Veterans. Ft. Pierce Central High School’s Raider team provided 10 volunteers and 6 competitors in the first Cadet Challenge physical fitness competition. Cadets from four JROTC programs and the Sea Cadets participated in a 3.43 mile ruck march and then the competitors each did as many push-ups, sit-ups, and pull-ups as they could in 2 minutes in each event. Oak Hammock K8 Students Learn Musical Rhythm

Mr. Nygard is engaging and intriguing his 3rd-grade music students! They sing along as he plays his guitar during warmup exercises. Following the warmup, students learn about rhythm. Mr. Nygard uses a device called the Note Knack to create a rhythm using different colors and generate a steady beat for the students to interact with the music.  

Mrs. Coffer’s AP Success Makes the Grade!

Goody Bags & Relationships are Keys to AP Testing Success at Fort Pierce Central High School! Donuts and flowers among other icons were laid out as future name tags to be decorated by students in Mrs. Coffer’s AP Spanish class. “We were not sure exactly what the name tags were going to be used for, but we liked decorating them,” explains Senior Astrid Ayala-Arevalo, pictured above with Mrs. Coffer. Port St. Lucie High Geometry Students Play Capture the Flag to Prepare for Unit Assessment

Mrs. Phillips’ Geometry students are preparing for their Unit 1 Assessment with a Capture the Flag game! Groups started with 5 different colored flags and worked to solve problems within their groups. Students had their answers checked and when correct, they could steal another team’s flag. In the end, students were surprised to find each flag had a different value and those with a lot of blue or orange flags lost points! Fun & learning were had by all!  

TCHS First FBLA Meeting of the School Year

The Treasure Coast High School FBLA team hosted an informal meeting for new and returning members. During this meeting, students were able to meet the new officer team and receive information about future volunteer opportunities and upcoming workshops. Titan Born, Titan Bred!

Manatee Academy Celebrates Grandparents’ Day!

Manatee Academy’s Grandparents had an opportunity to visit with their grandchildren in celebration of Grandparents Day. They enjoyed visiting the classrooms, completing crafts, and reading to students. They completed their visit with a tasty treat. Thank you to all the families that made this day special for students!
