When Fort Pierce Central opens the doors, we reach out and invite everyone for a four-phase fully filled night! The School Advisory Council (SAC) kicked off the first phase of a night filled with information, fun, food, cultural celebrations, transition, and community resources, as well as a Cobra welcome to Central! Mrs. Torres led the SAC meeting with new and returning Cobra family members discussing the School Improvement Plan, Parent & Family Engagement Plan, and Parent & School Compact, as well as highlighting campus information and happenings.
At the conclusion of the SAC meeting, families transitioned to the second phase of the evening and were greeted by Key Club members into the Cobra Cafeteria to the Parent & Family Resource Extravaganza. Parents and families received agendas and welcome information in three languages. Once inside, families could speak with community liaisons, get local resources, and connect with county organizations. From IRSC offerings and Migrant programs, Central is committed to connecting families and meeting the needs in our area. Pizza and refreshments were also served by Key Club student volunteers.
Our third phase of our Parent & Family Engagement night was out Title I presentation that featured performances from our FPC Dance Team and Guitar Club.
The Title I presentation was delivered in Haitian-Creole, Spanish, and English for attendees.

Signs were posted outside the auditorium and cafeteria in three languages directing parents and families to the Spanish-speaking information session in the cafeteria, Haitian-Creole information session in the Cobra Cafe, and Senior parent information session remaining in the auditorium.
