SRE #LearningAdventureCamp

Our Cranes had an awesome first week of #LearningAdventureCamp at SRE. Students are experiencing inquiry-based-learning at a very high level by engaging, exploring, explaining their learning, elaborating, analyzing, , and evaluating.

SRE 2nd Grade – Habitat Survival 3-D Diorama

Second grade students at Savanna Ridge Elementary School explored plant and animal needs, habitats and how living things use their habitat to survive.  Students engaged in content rich informational text and conducted research with their families. Students expressed their understanding of the different animal habitats through a 3-D diorama display which showcased different animals, plants and the environment of that specific habitat.

SRE Student Council School Beautification

Mr. Lewis’s Student Council members from Savanna Ridge Elementary, met for two hours on Saturday morning to clean-up the campus they love. The three members along with Mr. Lewis walked the entire campus collecting trash. While they beautified the school campus, they discussed how much they enjoy nature and their future goals and aspirations for Middle School.
