Cobra Nation’s Mascot Returns

Since Fort Pierce Central’s inception in 1970, the Cobra has been synonymous with the school. The Cobra, chosen as the mascot by Central’s first class, truly represents Fort Pierce Central’s PRIDE. The school has endured plenty of changes in its history, like a variation in populace, rivaling newer schools, and even building a new campus. And yet, Central’s PRIDE has stood the test of time, represented by the Cobra!

The Fort Pierce Central Cobra Mascot was last entertained in the late 2010s by Charlie Highlands during his junior and senior year under the name “King.” Charlie embodied the meaning of Fort Pierce Central – character, respect, community, and PRIDE! Sadly, Charlie Highlands passed shortly after graduation in 2020. With great respect, FPC sought to pay tribute to Charlie’s Cobra spirit by presenting the mascot to the Highlands family.

Central Cobras represent a special breed, that which keeps coming back and is filled by giving. And with the Highland’s nod, we are now ready to re-introduce the Cobra Mascot! With the help of many community members, alumni, and Mr. Luca Bradley, Fort Pierce Central’s PRIDE will once again slither the halls of the mighty Central and continue to propel the character, respect, community, and PRIDE that all Cobras experience and learn at Fort Pierce Central! Welcome back Cobra PRIDE!
