D.I.Y. – Digital Inspiration by YOU!

Hundreds of St. Lucie Public Schools Educators attended the virtual D.I.Y. tech conference on Saturday, April 17th, hosted by the Office of Teaching and Learning through Microsoft Teams.  The day started off with keynote speaker, Dr. Chris Dunning, who transformed an older high school into Pasco county’s first technical high school and assists schools nationwide with one-to-one laptop initiatives as a DELL consultant.

Attendees enjoyed sessions presented on various ed-tech applications by St. Lucie Public Schools educators.  Over 16 breakout sessions provided instruction on applications such as Power Automate, Nearpod, Canvas, One Note, Flipgrid, Office 365, Padlet, PowerPoint, Audacity, EdPuzzle, Swivl, Padlet and Bookings.  Presenters shared purposeful ways to infuse the technology applications into learning environments and provided fabulous ideas for educators to take back and implement in their own classrooms.

The Education Foundation of St. Lucie sponsored the D.I.Y. Tech Conference which provided fantastic Tech giveaways for attendees.  Teachers were grateful for the useful tech goodies they received.  It was a wonderful day of professional development and we are proud of SLPS Educators for elevating their ed-tech skills! #DIYTechSLPS
