Fort Pierce Central High School’s seniors recently marked the end of their high school journey with a memorable and activity-filled Senior Week. Fort Pierce Central High School proudly celebrated over 400 students this past Wednesday for their outstanding learning gains on the ELA PM1 assessment. These gains, measured against last year’s PM3 performance, mark a significant step forward in academic growth and set a strong foundation for future success. In adaptive testing, PM1 plays a crucial role in shaping the difficulty of subsequent assessments. The 38th Annual St. Lucie Regional STEM Fair took place on February 18, 2026, bringing together students from schools across the county at Indian River State College. The fair featured 84 projects from 98 students, representing grades 6–12 and competing across 13 STEM categories including engineering, environmental science, computational sciences, and more. Fort Pierce Central High culinary arts students share their craft with guests

Fort Pierce Central Culinary Arts students prepared and served lunch for 30 area leaders on March28 inCentral’s Cobra Cafe.  St. Lucie County School Board Member Kathryn Hensley coordinated the lunch during a visit by Dr. Jack Payne, Vice President of University of Florida for the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS).  Guests included community leaders in education, research, and economic development who highlighted our local area’s ‘possibilities’.  The students served a delicious lunch of spicy tomato soup, Caesar salad, and cheesecake.  FPC Cobras are cooking! Fort Pierce Central High cadets raise funds for a good cause

The Fort Pierce Central Army JROTC Cadets conducted a fundraiserrecently, called Celebrity Server!  The event was hosted at a local restaurant by the cadets from Fort Pierce Central High school. The event was to raise money for their program to be able to provide local needy families with complete Thanksgiving meal basket. The cadets asked their family, friends, and teachers to join in and buy tickets to participate in the event. The Fashion Club, in collaboration with FAITH Univerzity, recently hosted an engaging and impactful financial literacy workshop led by esteemed alumna Sandra Gabriel, a proud graduate of the FPC program. Fort Pierce Central culinary students bake for the less fortunate

On the two days before winter break from school, you might picture the high schools as a quiet place. Not true at the Fort Pierce Central High School Culinary Arts Cobra Café, where the kitchen was full of students baking, measuring, cleaning and wrapping as they prepared brownies for 500 St Lucie families. St. Lucie County school board member Troy Ingersoll delivered the baked treats to Harvest Food Bank, which in turn distributed the warm brownies with holiday meals for local families in need. Fort Pierce Central Culinary Arts Teacher Hosts Virtual Field Trip

Cindy Swertfager, Culinary Arts Instructor at Fort Pierce Central High hosted a virtual Field Trip to visit Texas Roadhouse in St Lucie West with General Manager Rick Kirk.   Students from culinary classrooms across St. Lucie Public Schools participated LIVE and the session was recorded for future showings.  Students virtually toured the facility and asked Rick many great questions about his scratch kitchen, restaurant management, and running a restaurant during Covid19. Congratulations are in order for the Fort Pierce Central Concert Choir and their talented vocal director, Mr. Harris, for their stellar showing at the Florida Vocal Association Music Performance Assessment.
