For Music in our Schools Month, I would like to introduce you to F.K. Sweet’s “Blues Brothers Team!”
For our Musical Color Wars theme, our Administration and Front Office Staff paid tribute to the Blues Brothers!
F.K. Sweet staff and students were so very excited to wear our favorite hats to honor Dr. Seuss’ book, The Cat in the Hat. Such a fun-filled week of dressing up and learning all about Dr. Seuss and his fabulous books!
Featured in the photo: F.K. Sweet Kindergarten teachers along with our Principal, Mrs. Jackson.
The students in Mrs. Johnson’s Challenge class get serious about learning how to find area. How many square inches are in a square foot? 144 — they made a model!

Happy Fall! Students in Melanie Francisco’s kindergarten class loved working on a unit about apples. They measured, experimented, and used their five senses to investigate them. Jackson Mallonee, Elijah Josheph, Everette Robinson, and Tabitha Smith agreed that the best part of the unit was making homemade applesauce.
