8th grade MOA students planted slash pine seedlings for the Moore’s Creek, Wesley Island restoration project. Students in Mrs. Saunders’ 5th grade at FPMSA researched, prepared, and presented projects on Pre-Columbian North Americans. Students created posters or dioramas to display the information they acquired. Classmates learned from each other and learned from the past. 5th graders at Fort Pierce Magnet School of the Arts visited the SLC Aquarium on October 14th. Students were able to learn about the habitats of the Indian River Lagoon as well as the Atlantic Ocean. Students also had the opportunity to dissect oysters! Who knew learning could be so fun?
