The students in Celeste Hartsfield’s second grade class at F.K. Sweet Magnet School are learning about different shapes and their attributes, as well as how to make patterns with the shapes. Go Math emphasizes the daily use of manipulatives to help students use a hands on approach for mastery of math skills.

Mrs. Barbara Bennett’s third grade class at Frances K. Sweet Magnet School received a grant from Retired Classroom Teachers Association of Florida to enhance her class’ vegetable garden. These funds will provide her students with the materials needed to further educate them concerning plants and animals.
