Rivers Edge is proud to honor their Principal’s Honor Roll recipients. After receiving a certificate at the Honors Assembly, the honorees were invited to have lunch with the principal where they received special tags to wear on their back packs.
On Friday, April 22, Rivers Edge proudly hosted all of their Principal Honor Roll students for the third quarter. Honors Assemblies were held all week and students received certificates for Principal’s Honor Roll, A/B Honor Roll, Perfect Attendance, and I Try Harder. The week ended with this luncheon for our straight “A” students.
REE families came away from Publix with more than a full cart after another great Math Night! Students had a grade appropriate worksheet to do with their parents or other students. Solos, duets, dancing and even a hula hoop presentation kicked off the night followed by the choir performing multiple Christmas favorites.
Parents brought treats galore for everyone in attendance.
Coach Eric Redding worked with an enthusiastic team of students who entered the Stellar Hangout category at this year’s Odyssey of the Mind competition. Media Specialist PJ Price goes over and above to make learning fun at Rivers Edge Elementary. Turning science questions into a live Jeopardy game, 4th graders at REE did not even realize they were learning as they answered questions about animals, physical science, energy, geology, and matter.
REE hosted their annual family camp out on Friday night before Thanksgiving. Tents were set up all over the property while hamburgers and hot dogs were grilled.
