Students at Parkway Elementary got to sample Sweet Potato Fries on Thursday during lunch. Students learned where sweet potatoes are grown, how fries are made from them, and the surprising health benefits they provide!
Maria Gerardi was the winner of this year’s PTO Turkey Feathers contest! Students bought turkey feathers for their favorite teacher and the teacher with the most feathers was honored to wear our turkey costume. Mrs. Gerardi had 124 feathers bought in her name. Parkway students had to have ‘patience’ as they participated in the spelling bee Friday, May 9th. Third place was won by Olivia Hagen , 2nd place by Fabian Liriano, and the champion- spelling the word ‘patience’- was Elexus McMillan.
