Kids at Hope founder Rick Miller recently made a surprise visit to Catie Smith’s fifth grade class at Gaines Academy. The class had written Mr. Miller a letter during their language arts class stating how much they loved the way Kids at Hope has made a difference for them. Rick decided to respond in person!

WCE students participated in the Kids at Hope Tunnel. Students were cheered on by staff and community members as they were reminded that they are capable of success.
To culminate a recent Principal’s Reading Challenge, the top readers in grades 3-5 played kickball against Weatherbee Faculty. All other students who obtained their goal were spectators for this event. We won’t say who won, but a fun time was had by all!
The Key Club is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through service to others and is supported and mentored under the umbrella of the Kiwanis International family. Key Club members build themselves as they build their schools and communities. New members of the Key Club were recently inducted for the coming school year.
Keiser University recently donated 10 Apple G4 computer systems, complete with a 19″ monitor, tower, keyboard, and mouse to be utilized in the television production Career and Technical Education program at St. Lucie West Centennial High School.
