Students in the Peer Leadership Program at Weatherbee Elementary had the honor of meeting Mr. John Arnett, a former Marine, police officer, and teacher. On April 27th, Weatherbee’s VPK classes were able to go on one of three field trips to the Children’s Museum in Jensen Beach. It was a wonderful experience for our students to be able to share and learn with other children. They were able to dress up and look towards what future might await them. …Details
This summer Weatherbee encouraged their students to read a variety of books. The school was open to take quizzes on their books and they were required to complete a summer reading packet. The families, faculty, and staff of Weatherbee Elementary recently collected and filled over 100 shoeboxes with much needed health care supplies for our neighbors in hurricane stricken Haiti and Bahamas. Mrs. Guermithe Ogé and Mrs. Darlene Sydné coordinated the collection drive.
