The Jaguar Battalion Takes a Trip to Aquatica

On Saturday April 27th, the Port St. Lucie High School JROTC Jaguar Battalion conducted our yearly end-of-the-year trip to Aquatica in Orlando, Florida. The cadets stayed overnight in a hotel and left on Sunday, April 28th. Cadets spent a day riding popular rides like the “KareKare Curl” and “RayRush”. Jaguar Battalion Change of Command

On Wednesday, April 24th at 6:30 PM, the Port St. Lucie High School JROTC Jaguar Battalion hosted our Annual Change of Command Ceremony, Relinquishing the current Battalion Commander c/LTC Michael Coccaro of his duty and welcoming c/LTC Tamiya Ferguson to command and lead the Jaguar Battalion on a successful path for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. Jaguar Battalion Cleans the City

On Saturday, April 13th the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion conducted their yearly Service Learning project with the help of “Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful”. This year’s project was held at Floresta Elementary School, in Port St. Lucie FL. For this project cadets cleaned the roads and sidewalks around the school. The cadets split into 3 teams going in different directions of the school. In the end, the cadets managed to collect 8 bags of garbage and had a great time cleaning up the city of Port St. Lucie.  

Jaguar Battalion 30th Annual Award Ceremony

On Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, the Port St. Lucie High School JROTC Jaguar Battalion held its 30th Annual Award Ceremony. The purpose of this award ceremony was to award deserving Cadets for their service, loyalty, personal appearance, character, and knowledge of JROTC, as well as their outstanding achievements in and outside the program. Select Cadets were recognized by different Veteran organizations such as MOAA, Vietnam Veterans of America, Korean War Veterans, etc… The ceremony was a success as we were able to recognize over 100+ cadets for their outstanding achievements.

Jaguar Battalion Conducts Last Car Wash of the Year

On Saturday, March 30th, 2024, the Port St. Lucie High School JROTC Jaguar Battalion conducted their last car wash of the school year at O’Reilly’s located off US-1. Cadets were placed in different teams such as the wash team, dry team, and sign holding teams. It was a great success and a good way for our first-year Cadets to see how we give back to our community.

The Jaguar Battalion Holds Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony

On March 11th and 12th,  the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion conducted their annual Flag Retirement Ceremony where Cadets retired worn and torn unserviceable flags. Cadets properly retired the unserviceable flags in accordance with the U.S. Flag Code. Each Cadet received a chance to retire a color of the flag. The first squad retired the red stripes which symbolize hardness and courage. The second squad retired the white stripe which signifies purity and innocence. The third squad retired the blue field which is indicative of vigilance, perseverance, and justice. On Saturday, March 2nd, the Port Saint Lucie High School JROTC Jaguar Battalion competed at the Area 3 State Qualifier at Seminole Ridge Community High School to see what teams would qualify for the Florida State Drill Competition.  Our Jaguar Battalion Male Team managed to achieve 1st Place in Male Exhibition Platoon, 1st Place in Male Exhibition Squad, 2nd Place in Male Dual Exhibition, 1st in Male Individual Exhibition, 1st place in Male Unarmed Platoon, 1st  place in Male Unarmed Squad, 1st  place Armed Squad, 1st place in Male Armed Platoon, and 3rd Place in Male Color Guard, Our Females took 1st Place in Female Color Guard, 1st  place in Female … Read More

Jaguars Conquer JROTC Leadership Camp

From February 17th to February 20th, the Port St. Lucie High School JROTC Jaguar Battalion participated in the JROTC Cadet Leadership Camp in Tequesta, FL. The first day at camp, our cadets participated in rappelling down a 40-foot tower and then were separated into their respective companies, where they got to know their fellow cadets from other schools. The second day cadets woke up bright and early to participate in a land navigation course as well as a demonstration on how to carry one another on a stretcher and how to conduct CPR in case of emergencies. Another Victory for Port St. Lucie High School JROTC On Saturday, February 10th, the Port Saint Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion competed against 8 other schools in a Drill competition held at Jupiter High School in Jupiter, Florida. The events our Female and Male Teams competed in were Unarmed/Armed Squad, Color Guard, and Solo/Duo Exhibition drill.
