Mariposa Elementary’s Student Council

Mariposa Elementary Student Council, led by Mrs. Alice Gale-Wharton, passed on the usual bi-monthly meeting to kick-off the season with a luncheon and craft project.  Dipping pinecones into peanut butter and birdseed, everyone enjoyed creating an environmentally safe gift to keep or give and share with our feathered Florida wildlife.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Grand Parade

The Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion showed their pride at the annual Martin Luther King, Junior Day Parade in Fort Pierce.  Marching in this parade is a tremendous honor and privilege for Port St. Lucie High.

The Battalion formation led by the Jaguar’s Color Guard was commanded by Cadet Captain Morgan Emerson carrying the National Flag. Cadet Major Tesa May carried the State Flag. Cadet Staff Sergeant Haley Pollard and Destiny Swain posted as Guards.

Following behind the Color Guard was the Battalion Staff and shortly after that, the Company formations beginning with Alpha Company formation then Bravo, Charlie and lastly Delta. The cadets performed with the utmost excellence showing the heart and pride of the Jaguar Battalion.

LPA Student Takes Home Crown in Miss Florida Junior Teen

Congratulations to Lincoln Park Academy 9th grader Breanna Myles for being crowned USA National Miss Florida Junior Teen.  As Miss Florida Junior Teen, Breanna will move on to the USA National Junior Teen competition where she will have the opportunity to win over $200,000 in cash, prizes, and scholarships.
