WeatherSTEM Donates Program to Southport Middle School

WeatherSTEM was recognized at the board meeting on June 9th for their donation of the Weather Compass to Southport Middle School.  WeatherSTEM is a fun and educational program that benefits the entire community. WeatherSTEM CEO, Ed Mansouri, is donating a program called Weather Compass that combines a number of products and services to create a well-rounded weather experience. The components are: a full service weather station including agricultural sensors; cloud camera; custom web portal that displays weather data and images along with a host of useful engaging weather-related educational resources; and customized Facebook and Twitter pages updated by the weather station. The value of products and services is approximately $5,000, this is 100% donation and there are no costs to the school.
