With the support of Special Olympics Coordinators from local high schools, St. Lucie Public Schools hosted its first Unified Track and Field Meet on Wednesday, March 8th at Lawnwood Stadium in Fort Pierce.
The Meet started out as a practice run, but it soon turned into a full-fledged event that engaged all participants in a spirited day. The excitement of the track and field events was infectious and everyone left with smiles on their faces.
