TCHS JROTC participates in Homeless Veterans Stand-Down

On May 17th, 2018 Treasure Coast High School AFJROTC participated in the first annual Homeless Veterans Stand Down in Fort Pierce, alongside many other organizations. They supplied items such as sleeping bags, care bags, food, boots, and many other helpful items to veterans in need. This is the first of many veterans outreach events for upcoming years, making it one of their unit goals to continue to help struggling veterans. Wonderful job to the students, teachers, support staff and parents who have encouraged, prodded and demonstrated kindergartners into a successful end of their first year of school. Northport Celebrates Incoming Sixth Graders With Style!

Northport fifth grade graduation was a first-rate event! Just when you think you can’t celebrate one more thing, those fifth graders go and make the tears come to your eyes. The NP gymnasium was packed with parents, grandparents and families that truly care about the success and achievement of their children. Students were honored for perfect attendance and for highest achievement in resource, math, reading and science. Students then performed a musical number in unison facing their parents. On Saturday May 19th, over 100 parents and their Young Authors gathered to celebrate literacy and the art of writing! The St. Lucie County Reading Council sponsors the celebration annually held at Oak Hammock School. Cobra CERT Receives Donation From Sheriff

Delegates from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office met with the Cobra CERT, or the Cobra Community Emergency Response Team, and provided a donation for $1,000.00 to support the group’s continued efforts. A special thank you is extended to the Sheriff and his officers for their support. Cobra CERT is an extracurricular program available to students at Fort Pierce Central High School.
