In honor of Veterans Day 2015, Oak Hammock K-8 celebrated and honored all of their personal heroes. The wall of stars represent the friends and family members of the Oak Hammock staff and students that have served in the military. Ribbons were attached to the stars to represent special circumstances. Red = Killed in Action; White = career/extended service; Blue = became a law enforcement officer or fireman when they returned; Yellow = still serving. We also added pictures and personal stories for those who chose to share.
The wall will be displayed for the rest of November. We are so thankful for the service of all of our friends and family.
